With their heavily anticipated HOLYWARS tour in full swing in 2025 with a string of sold-out shows across the U.S., Matte Blvck continues their ascent with the release of a haunting new single “Soulless” issued under Breathing Records as part of the Inhale Vol. I compilation in October 2025. The track, described by Alex Gonzales as “faith freed from illusion, light reborn in darkness, a soul remembering its source,” stands as a hymn for those still fighting to remember the light they were made from. 

This follows on the heels of their “Vows” album which through frenzied beats thrusts the listener into a pulsating sea of monochromatic textures that put a modern spin on the band’s love of 90’s electronic music.

For their album, Matte Blvck recruited acclaimed mixer Aaron Short, whose work includes “The Naked and Famous “ and “So Below“, to take control of the mixing desk; allowing the band to push their sonic foundations into new and darker territories.
